Bianca Lancia and Anais triumphed at the World Beer Awards 2020 where they respectively won the award for the best Italian wheat beer and the best flavored beer of our country. The victory of such important titles points out once again the high quality of our products made with Umbrian, organic ingredients and in a totally eco-sustainable brewery.
“We are really happy. These awards mean that our choice to focus on the territory is the right one” – comments Matteo Minelli, founder of Birra Flea and Chief Executive of Ecosuntek Spa – “Birra Flea is not just a product, but it’s a philosophy whose main focus is the rediscovery of its roots and its respect for nature. Gualdo Tadino and Umbria are real hidden treasures that we are showing to the whole world. For this I’d like to thank our foreign sales team and the whole Flea team “.
The World Beer Awards are the global awards selecting the very best in all the international recognised styles and promoting the world’s best beers to consumers and trade across the globe. The awards are divided in two categories. The first one is the taste category, based upon the commonly held beer groupings which define the style and process of beer production. Each beer is tasted in its relevant style to identify and select the style winner in each country. With specialist tasting panels, consisting of international beer experts. The second category is about the design. All design judging is conducted by a panel of leading international designers.
It is yet another recognition for both beers this year. At the Singapore Awards 2020 Bianca Lancia had already won the gold medal and Anais won a very precious silver. Bianca Lancia is a pale straw yellow color, produced with barley malt and wheat malt, with a fresh taste, slightly acidic, very fruity and not very bitter, with a compact, creamy and adherent foam. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, high fermentation and refermented in the bottle. Anais, on the other hand, is a pure malt amber produced with 100% barley malt, with an important aromatic profile, smoky notes, with an intense, dry, slightly bitter taste and with an aftertaste of caramel and hazelnut given by the use of special malts. It is also 100% Umbrian and artisan.
